Our reach
A year-round place for the arts
Pentangle’s work is not limited to one kind of event. It gives people many ways to encounter the arts: sitting together for a film, listening to a live performance, rehearsing and performing with others, or gathering around seasonal traditions.
Since 1974, that work has helped keep cultural life close to home in Woodstock while connecting audiences, artists, students, volunteers, and neighbors through shared experiences.
- Experience film
- Pentangle Movies brings new releases, repertory classics, documentaries, Mondays at the Movies, and Art & Film screenings to the Town Hall Theatre screen. Art & Film takes place on the third Wednesday of every month.
- Experience live performance
- Pentangle Performing Arts brings theatre, live music, speakers, conversations, and special performances into a room shared by artists and audiences.
- Learn and participate
- Pentangle Education creates public pathways for Summer Youth Theatre, After School Performing Arts, Community Band, and Community Choir.
- Gather around traditions
- Traditions & Gatherings includes Music by the River and Pentangle’s Wassail Weekend programming, part of a broader Woodstock tradition Pentangle helps animate through the arts.

Audience access
At Woodstock Town Hall Theatre, public audience areas include wheelchair access, accessible restrooms, first-row wheelchair and companion seating, and assisted-listening capability.
Connection to place
A newer organization in an older civic room.
Woodstock Town Hall opened in 1900. Pentangle Arts was founded in 1974. The two histories are connected, but they are not the same: Pentangle’s programming continues a longer civic tradition of people gathering in the Town Hall for culture, conversation, and community life.
